Season analysis after Korea

Although Kobayashi has not had the same impressive results as Perez he still has had a reasonable season and often worth betting on. Kobayashi has finished top 10 and top 6 the same number of times as Perez, the only difference being that Perez managed another two podiums in those results. Whilst podiums are not advised unless he qualifies high, top 6 finishes and top 10 finishes can be worthwhile. However, the Sauber is quite temperamental, going from struggling to reach to top 10 in some races to challenging for a podium in others. On this basis live betting is best for Kobayashi. If live betting is not possible then since the Sauber generally finishes higher than it qualifies so waiting until after qualifying is best until betting.

Season analysis after Hungary

Whilst Kobayashi lacks the impressive podiums of his team mate, this conceals Kobayashi's more consistent performances. He has scored points in five races this year, including three top 6 finishes. With two top five finishes, a podium is not impossible this season but will probably be reliant upon heavy retirements from the front runners.

Betting on top 6 or top 10 finishes with high odds is best, especially on lower temperature tracks. He has made Q3 three times this year, so betting on Kobayashi reaching Q3 can be good value for money if he does well in free practise.
